This Bill Bindeth us Mary Willams and Obidiath Johns
Both of the parish of Morwinstow in the County of
Cornwall our Hiares Executors and administrators or
assigns in ye full Sum of forty pounds of Good and
Lawfull money of Great Britton for the true and Sure
Payment of twenty pounds of Like Lawfull money Unto the
Church Wardens and overseears of the poore of the parish
of Morwinstow and their Successors in witness Hear of
wee have unto sett our Hands and Seale this fourten day
of November Anno Dommoney 1758.
The Condition of this Obligation is Such that wheare as
Mary Willams a Single woman was Latly Deliverd of a male
Bastard Child within the Parish of Morwinstow wich is
likly to be Com Chargeable to the Parish of Morwinstow
aforesaid If theare fore the Said Mary Williams and
Obediath Johns Do Save and keep harmeless the
Churchwardens and overseers of the Poore and theare
succesors and the Parish of Morwinstow from all Charges
what soever tuchings or Concerning the keeping or
Relieving? of the Said Base Child Untill He shall attain
to the full age of forteen years then this Obligation
shall be Voyd and of No Efect Otherwaise to Remain in
full fours and Vertley [Virtue?]
Seled and Deliverd in; the
Payers? being presents, Duly Stampd of Us
