Know all men By these presents that we William Turner of the parish of Poundstock in the County of Cornwall and Edmund Turner of the parish of Treneglos and County aforesaid are held and firmly bound to Laurence Cholwell and Richard Ham Church wardens of the Parish of Morwinstow in the sd County and John Shearme of Cory and Richard Gibbons overseers of the poor of the same parish in Twenty Pounds Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to the said Church Wardens and overseers their successors or assigns, the which payment well and Truly to be made and paid we [wee] Bind our Selves and every of us jointly [joyntly] and severally our heirs Executors and administrators and Each of them firmly by these presents, Sealed with our Seals dated the thirtieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred forty six.

The Condition of this obli[gation is s]uch that if the above Bounden William Turner and Edmund Turner do pay or Cause to be paid unto the Churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the parish of Morwinstow the sum of sixpence per week towards the maintainance of a Male Bastard Child which Child was Born of the Body of Grace Trick of the parish of Morwinstow aforesaid (and Called by the name of Thomas) which said sum is to be Continued until the Said Child shall arrive unto the age of seven years old and no longer from the time of its Birth, which Child was Born the Twenty Ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand [seven] hundred forty four which said sum of six pence per week be continued and paid on Lawfull demand then this obligation to be void and of none Effect, otherwise to Continue in its full force and virtue in wittness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this thirtieth [thirtyeth] Day of June in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred forty six.
