The Will of Henry Wilce, dated 29 December 1862

The District Registry of Bodmin.
In Her Majesty’s Court of Probate.

BE IT KNOWN, that on the twenty seventh day of June 1865, the last Will and Testament, hereunto annexed, of Henry Wilce late of the Parish of Michaelstow in the County of Cornwall Yeoman deceased, who died on the 30th January 1865, at Michaelstow aforesaid, and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Michaelstow aforesaid within the District of the County of Cornwall, was proved, and registered in the said District Registry attached to Her Majesty’s Court of Probate at Bodmin, and that administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased, was granted by the aforesaid Court to Elizabeth Chapel Wilce Widow the Relict and Sole Executrix named in the said Will she having been first sworn well and faithfully to administer the same, by paying the just debts of the deceased and the legacies contained in his Will and to exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and effects, and to render a just and true account thereof whenever required by law so to do.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Henry Wilce of the Parish of Michaelstow in the County of Cornwall Yeoman. I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Thomas Wilce Son of my brother Thomas the sum of Twenty Pounds to my Nephew Walter Wilce son of my brother John the sum of Fifteen Pounds the above legacies to be paid at the end of twelve months after my decease by my Executrix hereinafter named. I give and bequeath unto my wife’s Sister Susannah Seccombe wife of John Seccombe the sum of Ten Pounds. To her sister Carolyn Gynn wife of Richard Down Gynn the sum of Ten Pounds to be respectively paid at the end of six months after my decease. All the rest residue and remainder of my real Leasehold and personal Estate I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Chapel Wilce for her own absolute use and benefit she paying thereout all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the above Legacies and I nominate constitute and appoint her my said wife sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament _ In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twenty ninth day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.
 
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Henry Wilce as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence – Henry Wilce, and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
