William Peter Esq. Account Book

Vellum covered account book, unable to read what is written on the cover, spine has 5 R written at top.

Book given to me by Jack Ingrey of St Merryn, it was given to him by Mr Rowe of Trevethan St Eval, and he in turn was left it with the farm by Mr Jack Andrews of Trevethan Farm House, St Eval. Jack Andrew was interested in St Eval Parish. The book refers to several properties in the St Merryn area. An entry of 30th Oct 1830 suggests it belonged to William Peter Esq.

The book is incomplete, having a few of the early leaves missing. It has been started at the beginning, at the end and in the middle, so is written in three separate sections. It is mainly an account book with a header of a person's name at top of page followed by accounts. On the whole it is for barley or some agricultural service.
I am not transcribing in full but only any unusual entries or entries of interest. The entries in the front of the book tend to refer to employees, the back to animals and grain. If anyone is particularly interested in any entries, full scans can be provided. MMc
