The Will of Margrett Soby, proved 19th October 1781
In The Name of God Amen I Margrett Soby of the Parish of
Menheniott in the County of Cornwall widow Being weak in Body but of Sound and
perfect mind and Memory do make and Ordain This to be my Last Will and Testament
in Manner and form following. First I Recommend my Soul into the Hands of
Almighty God that Gave it and my Body I Recommend to the Earth to be Burried in
Decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter to be Named
and as for my worldly Goods wherewith it hath pleased God To Bless me with in
This Life I Give demise and dispose of the same in The following Manner and
form.
Imprimis first I Give unto my Son John Soby the sum of Three Guineas
Item all the rest of my Goods Credits and Effects of What Nature kind or Quality
or wheresoever Situate I Give and bequeath unto my Two Daughters Margrett
Stevens and Elizabeth Langmaid and them I make Constitute and Ordain Jointly and
Severally Executrixes alike of This My Last Will and Testament and by them
freely and Equaly to be Possessed and Enjoyed in paying all my Just dues and
Legacies and I do hereby revoke and Disannull all former wills and Legacies by
me in any ways Given ratifying and confirming This to be my Last Will and
Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this Twenty
fifth day of September One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty One.

and declared by the said Margrett Soby
as her Last Will and Testament in the
Presence of us who in Her Presence
and in the Presence of Each Other have
hereunto subscribed our Names |
