The Will of Henrye Maye , dated 6 September 1624
Sexto Die Sextembris
Anno Domini 1624
In Dei Nomine Amen: I Henrye MAYE of St Mawgan
in Pider in the Countye of Cornwall Carpenter; beinge sicke
and weake of bodye, but of sounde and perfect memorye
thanked be god, doe make and ordayne this my last will
and testament in manner and forme followinge
Inprimis: I bequeath my soule unto Almighty god my maker &
Redeemer and my bodye unto Christian buriall.
Itm: I give and bequeath unto my sonne John MAYE Thirtye
Shillings; And unto his Three Children Ten Shillings
a piece to be payd at Christide Twelve months
after my deceasse.
Itm: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Gunnett MAYE if
that she is in my hand Ten Pounds to be payde at ye
same tyme.
Itm: I give and bequeathe unto my daughter Agnis MAYE Ten
Pounds to payd accordingly.
Itm: I give and bequeathe unto my sonne Robert Ten pounds
to be left in ye hands of Alexander ROBYNS of St Evall
and to be by him disposed of for his maintenannce.
Itm: I give and bequeathe unto my sonne Humphrye Eighte Pounds
to be paid as aforesayd
Itm: I give and bequeath unto my sonne Thomas Twentye
[ ]arks to be payd accordinglye.
Itm: I give and bequeath unto my sonne Henrye Twentye
Pounds to be payd accordinglye.
All ye residue of my goods and Chattles not given nor
bequeathed I doe give and bequeath unto Jone my wiefe
whom I make my full and sole executrix of this
