Luxulyan Parish Page Settlement Paper for Joseph Treiser & Family, dated 11 January 1759Cornwall to wit - WHEREAS Complaint hath been made
unto us, whose Hands and Seals are hereunto subscribed and set, Two of His
Majesty’s Justices of the Peace for the said County of Cornwall
(whereof one is of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Luxillion in the said County of Cornwall, That
Joseph Treiser Mary his Wife Mary their Daughter aged three years and Joseph
their Son aged about Six months have lately intruded themselves
into the Parish of Luxillion aforesaid, endeavouring to settle
themselves there, contrary to Law, and that they are likely to become chargeable
to the said Parish of Luxillion and upon due Examination of the Premisses on
Oath before us, we do adjudge that the said Joseph Treiser Mary his Wife
Mary their Daughter and John their Son are likely to become chargeable to
the said Parish of Luxillion and that Place of their last
legal Settlement is in the Parish of Menheniot in the County of
Cornwall aforesaid
