Settlement Paper for Richard Scanterberry, dated 22 April 1717

To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St Breock and to Every and Either of them

For as Much as Richard Scanterberry of our Parish of Luxsillion is Desirous to Remove in to your said Parish of St Breock For the Better Mentainance of himselfe his now wife and Children These are therefore to certify that we the said Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Luxsillion aforesaid doe hereby Certify That the said Richard Scanterberry his now wife and Children are all Inhabitants of our said Parish of Luxsillion and Legally Settled within our Parish. And wee the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of Luxsillion whose hands are hereunto Subscribed doe Promise to Take and Receive Back the said Richard Scanterberry his wife & Famaly (or any or either of them) att any Tyme hereafter when soever how the said Richard Scanterberry his wife or any of his said Famaly shall bee Likely to be Chargeable to your said parish of St Breock In Witness whereof wee have hereunto sett our hands and seales this 22 day of April Anno Domi 1717
