The Will of William Trevorian,  dated 28 April 1741

In the Name of God Amen. I William Trevorian of the Parish of Ludgvan in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being Sick and weak in Body but of sound & Perfect Mind & Memorin For all which I Give God thanks & Considering the Frailty and Uncertainty of this life do hereby make my last will & Testam’t in Manner following ______ comend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hopeing thro his Tender Mercy & the Meritt & the Moderation of Jesus Christ my saviour to be Eternally saved and have Pardon and foregiveness of all my sins and my body I comitt to Christian Burial in such Manner as my Executor & Executrix in Trust hereinafter named shall think fitt
 
Item My Will & Meaning is that all my just debts and Funeral Expences be first fully paid and Satisfied out of such Lands and Tenements Goods and Chattells as I shall ____ Seized and Possessed of before any Legacy - hereinafter bequeathed shall take place
 
Item I give devise and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Four Daughters Mary Trevorian Dorcas Trevorian Joan Trevorian and Elizabeth Trevorian the Inheritance in Fee of and in all and Singular my Messuages Lands Tenements and premisses Together with all Paths ways waters watercourses Easments Profitts Commodityes Emolum’ts Heredia’s & Appurtes whatever thereunto belonging Situate lyeing and being in the Village Fields & Hamlets of Colorian within the said Parish of Ludgvan and the Reverison and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Suites & Services thereof and of every Part and Parcell thereat To hold to my said four Daughters from & Imediately after the Deaths of my self and Margaret my wife and to their Heirs Absolutely forever to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike.
 
Item I Give devise and Bequeathalso unto my said Four Daughters the Inheritance in Fee of and in all that one Messuage Close or Field of Land Situate Lyeing & being in the Towne of Marazion in the said County of Cornwall called by the Name of Whealawowns which I lately Purchased of and from my Brother in Law William Oliver of the Town of Falmouth in ______ County Marriner Togeather with all paths ways waters water courses Easements Profitts Commodityes Emoluments Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Suites and Services thereof and of every Part and Parcell thereof To hold also to my said Four Daughters from and Imediately after my Death and to their Heirs Absolutely forever to be also Equally Divided amongst them share and share alike
 
Item I Give and Bequeath unto my said Four Daughters all my Chattell Estates which I now have of and in Colorian aforesaid and also of and in the Village of Truthall Situate lyeing and being within the said Parish of Ludgvan To hold to them their E______ Adm’ds and Assigns from and Imediately after my death for and during all the Remainder of the Severall and Respective Terms and Numbers of Years which shall be therein then to come and Determine by Vertue of the Orignal Leases ____ of or either of them respectively to be likewise divided amonst them share and share alike
 
Item All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods and Chattells Rights Credits and Effects whatsoever and whosesoever I shall dye Seized or Possessed of ____ herein before given devised or bequeathed I do hereby likewise give devise and Bequeath unto my said Four Dau’rs To hold to them their Heirs E______ Adm’ds and Assigns from and Imediately after my death absolutely forever to be likewise Equally divided amongst them share & share alike
 
Item my will & meaning is that in case any of my sd Children shall happen to dye before they shall respectively attain the Age of Twenty One Years or be Married which shall first happen That then the part or Parts (so Given as aforesaid) of such of them so dyeing shall fall amongst the Survivors and Survivor of them as shall then beliveing equally to be divided amongst them share and share alike
 
Lastly I do hereby make Ordain Consitute and Appoint my said dearly Beloved wife Margaret and my Brother Nicholas Trevorian of the Burrough of Fowey in the said County Yeoman to be my Executrix and Executor in Trust (for my said Four Daughters untill they shall respectively Attain the Age of Twenty One Years) of this my last Will and Testament and I earnestly desire and intreat my Executrix & Executor to Instruct and Educate my said Children as they shall think best during their Minorityes and to receive the Rents Issues and Profitts of my said several Estates In Turst for them during such time and on their Attaining the Afes of Twenty one years respectively to Render and give a True and Just Account of all such Rents Issues and Rofitts of the said Premisses and of all such sum or sums of Money to them respectivel as shall come to their Hands Care Charge or Magement They paying themselves Reasonably for their Labour

Pain Charges & Expenses in and about the Esecution of this my sd last Will and Testament Revokeing hereby all former and Other will and wills by me at any time or times heretofore made Ratifyeing & Confirming this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this Twenty Eighth Day of April in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred and forty one.

N.J. The before written Will is a True Copy of the last Will and
Testament of the before named Willm. Trevorian Decd
