The Will of Hosea Nicholls,  dated 26 January 1746

In the Name of God Amen The Twenty Sixth day of January in the year of our Lord 1746. I Hosea Nicholls of Ludgvan in the County of Cornwall yeoman being Sick and beak of Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament: That is to say principally and first of all I given and Recommend my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it: and for my Body I Recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and decent Manner at the discretion of my Executors nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall Receive the Same again by the Might power of God and as touching Such World Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life, I Give, Devise and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form.
 
Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto An John and Lovdee John the Little house called by the name of Stevens house and the orchard in the midest of the Town in Velnoweth during the Term of the Lives now thereon.
 
Item I Give to each of them Ten Pounds to be paid them by my Executors when Lovdee is one and Twenty years of age, and if either of them Shall happen to dye before their money and dowry is dew the other Shall receive the whole: I Likewise Give unto them all my Household Goods; Excepting only the largest Brass pan, Brass Crock and Pisstle and morter; Lovdee to have such puter as her name is in and Anne to have as much of the rest as to make it equal.
 
Item I order and make Margry John my Sister and William John her Son my Sole and full Executors of this my last Will and Testament of all my Lands Messages and tenements by them freely to be possessed and enjoyed and likewise all my Stock and Goods Bills Bonds and all other Writings whatsoever yielding and paying all dews debts and demands and I do hear by utterly disallow revoke and dissannul all and every other formter Testements Wills and Legacies bequests and Executors by me in any ways before this time named: I do likewais make and Impower Matthew Wollcock & William Simens to be Trustees and Guardyens over my Executors Impowering them to Set, let and do all other reasonably things for the preferment of my Exectors ratifying and Contifmring this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in Witness where of I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the day and year above writen.

Was Granted to Mathew Woolcock & William Semens the Testory
Guardians and Trustees during the Minority of William John the Surviving
Exect. Named in the Said Will (being first sworne. Etc.) Saveing etc.)
