The Will of Richard John, dated 11 November 1741In the Name of God Amen the Eleventh day of November in the
year of our Lord 1741. I Richard John of Ludgvan in the County of Cornwall
yeoman being very sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be
Given unto God therefore calling unto mind the Mortallity of my Body and knowing
that is appointed for all men once to dye do make and ordain this my Last Will
and Testament That is to Say Principally and first of all I Give and Recommend
my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it and for my Body I Recommend it to the
Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the Discretion of my
Executors nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall Receive the
Same again by the Mighty Power of God; and as touching Such worldly Estate
wherewith it hath Pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give, Devise, and

Proved the 10th March 1747 Before the Reverend Mr. Jonathan Baron Clk Mr. of
Arts Surrogate ___ and Admion of the Goods ___ of the Said deced (with the Said
Will_____) Remaining ______ by Margery John the Wido and one of the Exectrs
named in the Said Will was Granted to Mathew Woolcock the Surviving Testatory
Guardian & Wm. Semmens the guardian Elected during the Minority of Wm. John the
Son & the other of the Exectrs Named in the Said Will (being first ______)
