Will of John Pethick, dated 3 May 1750

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN This is the last will and Testament of me John Pethick of Liskeard in the County of Cornwall Taylor hereby I revoke all former and other wills by me at any time made.
 
First I recommend my soul to God that Gave it and my Body to Christian Burial according to the direction and discretion of my Exectx. hereinafter named As for all my Lands Tenements Rights Credits Goods and Chattels whatsoever which I shall leave Behind me at the time of my death I Give Devise and Bequeath the Same unto my dearly Beloved wife Grace Pethick in Consideration of the Tender Regard she has always shewn me, And by which means it may be in her power to dispose of my Effects amongst my children in such manner as they may best deserve and which I hope will make my children Sulifuce to their Mother IN WITNESS whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this Third day of May in the Twenty Third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second and in the year of our Lord. 1750.

Subscribes our names as witnesses hereunto in
Presence of the said Testator & in the presence
Of each other.

Mr. William Waddon, Clerk, Mr of arts, Official etc.); and admon of all and Singular the Goods et. of the said Decd was Granted to (word crossed out) Grace Pethick the Widow & Relict of the sd. Decd, and Universal Legatee therein named (No Executor being named Herein;) / Being first in due forme of Law Sworne et. / B—ily? being? first given etc. / Saving etc.
