The Will of Jane Wadge, dated 18 August 1739
In the Name of God Amen I Jane Wadge of the Parish of
Lewannick in the County of Cornwall widow being of sound mind do make and ordain
this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (to wit) First and
Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and my Body I Comitt to the Earth
to be Decently Buried at the Discretion of my Execexes herein after named and as
touching the Disposition of all my Temporall Estate I Give and dispose thereof
as followeth.
First I Will that all my just Debts and Funeral Charges Shall be paid and
discharged.
Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Anne Wadge wife of Charles Wadge a
Guinea
Also I Give and Bequeath unto Mary Launder my Daughter and wife of John Launder
a Guinea.
Also I Give unto my Grandaughter Mary Wadge Daughter of the said Charles Wadge
all my Household Goods and Lumber Stuff of what nature or kind soever and also
all my wearing apparel both Linnen and Woolen.
Also I Give unto my Grandson Charles son of the said Charles Wadge a Guinea
Also All the Rest and Residue of my Personal Estate Goods and Chattels
whatsoever not herein before me Given and Bequeathed I Give and Bequeath unto
Mary, Anne, Elizabeth, and Margery Wadge Daughters of the said Charles Wadge who
I do hereby make and appoint full and whole Executrixes of this my Last Will and
Testament And I do hereby revoke, disannul and make void all former Wills and
Testaments by me heretofore made either by word of mouth or in writing In
Witness whereof I the said Jane Wadge to this my Last Will and Testament have
Set my Hand and Seal this Eighteenth day of August in the year of our Lord 1739.

The before written Will of the above named Jane Wadge deced,
is a true Copy Examined and Compared with the Original this 12th May 1748 by us
(signed) John Bennett
(signed) John Blight
The before written Will of the above named Jane Wadge deced was Proved in common
forme the 28th April 1748 before the Reverend Mr William Waddon Clerk Master of
Arts Official etc and Admion of the Goods etc of the Said deced and of all
things howsoever Concerning the Said Will was Granted to Mary Wadge One of the
Executrixes therein named Reserving a Power of Granting the like admion to the
other Executrixes in the said will named when they shall attain lawfull years of
age to Take the same upon themselves being first Sworne etc and Oath being first
made etc saveing etc.
