To all high & Petty Constables within
the Hundred of West – in the said County |

Whereas Ann Ham Singlewoman hath now
Voluntarily made Oath before One of his Majesties
Justices of the Peace of & for the said County that she
hath been lately delivered of Male Bastard Child within
the Parish of Lanteglos by Fowey in the said County wch
is likely to become Chargeable to the sd Parish And that
William Symons of the said Parish a? Mariner? Is the
father thereof And William Quiller Overseer of the Poor
of the sd Parish having applied himself to me I Do
therefore hereby Strictly charge & command you & every
of you to apprehend the said William Symons if he can be
found within your S-----? Proximity and bring him before
me or some other of his majesties Justices of the Peace
for this County Either to Enter Bond with Sufficient
Sure-y to discharge the said Parish from all Charges
concerning the said Bastard Child or the Maintenance
thereof, Or Enter into -------nizance with Sufficient
Sureties to appear at the next general Quarter Sessions
of the Peace after he shall be taken there to abide by
what the Court shall Order Given under my hand & seal
this thirteenth day of January 1753 |
