Know all men by these presents that I Nicholas Galsworthy of the parish of Lantegloss by Fowey in the County of Cornwall Maltster am hold and firmely bound unto William Quillar, John Hopp--?, Robert Beals and John Harris Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of and for the Sd parish of Lantegloss in the full sums of Forty pounds of good and Lawfull money of great Britain To be paid to them the Sd William Quillar, John Hoppen, Robert Beals and John Harris or to their Certains Attorney their Heires and Successors Churchwardens and Overseers of this poor of and for the Sd parish for the time being to which payment well and truely to be made. I oblidge myself my Heires, Executors, Administrators and every and Either of them Joyntely and Seaverally firmely by these presents Sealed with my Seals and dated this Tenth day of March in this year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred forty and one.
 
The Condition of the above writen Obligation is such That Wheareas one Catherne Simmons now wife of the said Nicholas Galsworthy hath been lately and before marriage delivered of a Bastard child at the house of the said Nicholas Galsworthy, which by the laws of this Kingdome may become Chargeable to the said parish of Lantegloss if not other wise provided for, which Said Child hath been baptized and called by the name of William Simmons Now If the said Nicholas Galsworthy his heires Executors and Administrators do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter in all things save and keep harmless and Indemnified Them the said William Quillar, John Hoppon Robert Beals and John Harris their Heires and Successors as Churchwardens and Overlords of Lantegloss aforesaid for the time being and also the Inhabitants of the said parish for the time being of from and against or for an amount of this Maintainance of the Said Child and all such payments Expenses troubles Costs Charges damages suits? Matters and things in Law Equity or Ecelesissticall Court or otherwise howsoever which shall or may Happen or attend? unto or against them for the time being for about or an amount of or by reason or Of Such Childs being born within the said parish and doe and shall from time to times and at all times Hereafter Save keep harmless and Indempnified the said parish of Lantegloss of from and against The Maintainance of the Said Child and on application by the Churchwardens or Overseers of the aforesd parish For the time being pay or Cause to be paid unto them all Such Costs Charges damages and Expenses as shall Or may happen or attend unto or against them or the Inhabitants of the Said parish for the time being for --? Amount of the said Childs being born in Lantegloss aforesaid or of all or any the Premises that then This obligation is void Otherwise to remaine in its full force force and Virtue.
