by Camelford in the County of Cornwall yeoman (hereby revoking all former and
other Wills by me made) do make publish and declare this my last will and
Testament in manner following. First I give devise and bequeath unto my son
Samuel Cock All that my messuage or Dwelling House wherein I now live with the
old Dwelling house now adjoining the same now in ruins. Also the Barn and walls
adjoining together with the pigs house and garden Also the little meadow and
orchard lying at the head of the same Also the quarry field otherwise Matthew's
park Also the field lying under the said Quarry field commonly called Uncle
Daniel's field together with the Pound or Hay Rick Place to hold to him my said
Son Samuel Cock with the Appurtenancy thereof his Heirs and Assigns for ever
(Subject nevertheless as herein after mentioned and declared) that is to say and
I do hereby give and grant unto my Son Thomas Cock the sum of One Hundred and
Twenty Pounds lawful money of Great Britain to be issuing and payable out of my
aforesaid Lands and Premises herein before given unto my said Son Samuel Cock
and to be paid by even and yearly payments after the rate of Eight Pounds per
year until the whole thereof shall be fully paid up and if my said Son Thomas
Cock shall happen to die before the whole or any part thereof shall be so as
aforesaid paid then in that case I give the said Sum of one hundred and twenty
pounds or so much thereof as shall not be paid as aforesaid unto my Grandson
Thomas Cock (Son of my said Son Thomas Cock) And I do hereby charge and make
subject my aforesaid Lands and Premises with the payment of the said Sum of One
hundred and twenty Pounds accordingly Also I do hereby give and grant to my
Daughter Elizabeth Coney and her assigns for and during the term of her natural
life one Annuity clear yearly Rent charge or Sum of Three Pounds of like lawful
money to be issuing and payable out of my said Lands and Premises so as
aforesaid hereby given to my said Son Samuel Cock and to be paid unto my said
Daughter Elizabeth Coney and her assigns by half yearly payments the first
whereof to be made at the end of Six Calendar months next after my death and
aways to be paid free of all taxes and outgoings whatsoever And I do hereby make
subject and liable my said lands and premises as aforesaid given to my said Son
Samuel Cock with the payment of the said Annuity of Three Pounds per year unto
my said daughter Elizabeth accordingly and I do also hereby give and grant unto
my said Son Thomas Cock and my said Daughter Elizabeth Coney liberty and
authority to enter into and upon my said Lands so as aforesaid charged with
their respective yearly Sums of money or payments in case of non payment thereof
within twenty eight days after the same shall respectively become due and
payable and not paid (being first lawfully demanded) and to make distress and
distresses and the distress and distress there made to impound and sell until
they shall be respectively paid and satisfied, all such their respective dues
and demands with Costs and Charges in making such entry distress and sale; Also
I give unto my wife Joan Cock all those my two Houses and Garden lately erected
and built and lying the higher side of the said Pound or Hay Rick place Also All
that Field or Close of Land called Jackson's Barn Field, also all that other
Field or Close of Land called the Little Arish containing (both of them) by
estimation three Acres of Land be the same more or less To hold to her my said
wife and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life Then at and
upon the death of my said wife I give devise and bequeath unto my Son Robert
Cock all those my said newly erected Houses with the Garden and the said two
Fields or Closes of Land called Jackson's Barn Field and the Little Arish (so as
aforesaid given unto my said wife during her life) to hold to him my said Son
Robert Cock his Heirs and assigns forever; but my express (??) nevertheless that
in case my said Son Robert Cock shall happen to die without leaving lawful issue
that then in such case I give devise and bequeath all those my newly erected
Houses Garden and two Fields of Land called Jacksons Barn Field and the Little
Arish so as aforesaid given to my said wife during her life and after her life
to my said Son Robert Cock) unto my said Son Samuel Cock To hold to him his
Heirs and Assigns for ever. All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods,
Chattels Rights Credits ready money and Security for money and personal estate
and effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give the same and every part thereof
unto my said wife Joan Cock and I do hereby nominate and appoint my said wife
Joan Cock sole Executrix and residual legattee of this my last will and
Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty
fourth day of September One thousand eight hundred and eighteen.
