The Will and bond upon the admion of the Goods and so forth of William SAMWELL, Gent deced Granted to Rebecca SAMWELL, one of the Trustees in this Will named (a power being reserve’d of Granting the Like admion to John TRUEBODY Gent anoer Trustee in this Will also named: whenever he shall think fit to take the Same upon himself) John HONEY Gent, the other trustee in the said Will named being prsent

Know all men by these presents that we Rebecca SAM[WELL] of the pish of Lanlivery in the County of Cornwall Widow Anthony SPERNON of Lostwithiell Gent and John HUET of the pish of Warleggan in the Said County Yeoman are held & firmly bound to the worshipfull Charles FLEETWOOD Doctor of Laws Archdeacon of Archdeaconry of Cornwall Lawfully Constituted in the Sume of one Thousand pounds of Good & Lawfull money of Geat Brittain to be paid to ye Said Charles FLEETWOOD or his Certain Attorney his Execrs Admrs or assigns, to which payment well and Truly to be made we oblige our Selves & Each of us by himselfe for ye whole our & Each & every of our Heirs Execrs & Admrs joyntly & Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seales Dated the Ninth day of May in ye Fouth year of ye reign of our Soveraign Lord George the Second by ye Grace of God of Great Brittain France & Ireland King Defender of ye faith and soe forth, and in the
Year of our Lord 1737.
 
The Condition of this Obion is Such that if ye abovebounden Rebecca SAMWELL being admitted to ye administration of all and Singular the Goods, Rights, Creditts & Chattles of one William SAMWELL Late of ye pish of Lanlivery within ye Archdeaconry of Cornwall Deced with his Will annexed Doe make or Cause to be made a now & perfect Inventory of all & Singular the Goods, Rights, Creditts, & Chattles of ye Said Deced, which have Come to the Hands possion or knowledge of her the Said Rebecca SAMWELL or into ye Hands & possesion of any other Person or pson[s]
for her and ye Same So made doe Exhibite or Cause to be Exhibited into the Registry of ye Archdry Court of Cornwall at or before ye Last day of August next Ensueing and ye Same Goods Rights, Creditts & Chattles & all other the Goods, Rights, Creditts & Chattles of the Said Deced, which at anytime hereafter Shall Come to ye hands possession or Knowledge of ye Said Rebecca SAMWELL or into ye Hands & possion of any other pson or Psons for her doe well & Truly administrator according to Law & the Tenor & Contents of the Said Will. And further doe make or Cause to be made a true, perfect & Just account of her Said Admion at Such times as She the Said Rebecca SAMWELL shall be there unto Lawfully required ; Then this obion to be void and of none Effect, or Else to remain in full force and virtue

In the Name of God Amen I William SAMWELL of the Paraish of Lanlivery in the County of Cornwall Gent being sick & weak of Body but of a Sound & Disposeing Mind & Memory & Calling to mind the uncertainty of this life doe make & ordain this my last Will & Testament In Manner following.
Imprimis I give Devise Bequeath & Confirm unto my Dear Wife Rebecca SAMWELL The annuity of fifty Pounds pr annum setled on her by the Articles of Agreement entred into before our Marriage bearing date the Twentieth day of February year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and sixteen and I likewise give & Devise unto her one Guinea, and the Horse she usualy Rides upon, The Bed she lieth in performed and all such Houshold Goods & Houshold Furniture & Linnen as she my said wife shall think fitting necessary & Convenient for her own use to be after my Decease by her made Choice of.
Item I Give Devise & Bequeath unto my Neice Martha COLLIER the Sum of Ten Shillings to be by her Paid out in a Morning Ring to be worn in Remembrance of me and I likewise give & Bequeath unto my Servant William PEAWDEN the sum of five shillings if he shall be living with me at the Time of my Death.
Item Whereas I am now Seised in Fee Simple or of some other Indefeaziable Estate of Inheritance of and in Several Messuages Lands & Tenements called by the Names of Grediow and Hill Parkes Situate & lying within the Parish of Lanlivery aforesaid and am likewise possessed of & Interested in a Considerable Personal Estate Consisting of Cattle, Corn in the Mowhay & in the Ground Plaite Houshold Goods Debts Standing out & Securities for money And whereas by the said Articles of Agreement It was among Things Covenanted & Provided that the Trustees in the said articles for that Purpose Named & appointed were out of the Rents Issues & Profits or by the Leaseing of Certain Lands called Pill & Blowhan [Bloughan] in the said articles for that purpose Charged with the same to raise the sum of six hundred pounds after the death & decease of me and my said wife as a future Maintainance & Provision for such Younger Children as I should leave behind me at the Time of my death. I Therefore give Devise assign and Bequeath unto John TRUEBODY of Boscundle Gent. John HONY of Trenant Gent. and To my said wife and to the Survivor and Survivors of them and the Heirs Executors & administrators of them or of such of them as shall respectively take upon them the Burthen of the Execution of this my Will All and Singular the said Lands & Tenements called Grediow and Hill Parkes and all other my Personal Estate & Effects whatsoever In Trust. Nevertheless & upon this Condition and upon this Esposical Confidence that they the said John TRUEBODY John HONY and my said Dear wife Rebecca SAMWELL or such of them respectively as shall take upon them the burthen of this Trust do and shall from Time To Time during the Minority of William SAMUELL my Younger Son & of Dinah my Daughter apply the Rents Issues & Profits of the said Messuages Lands & Personal Estate for & Toward the necessary Support Maintainance & Education of them the said William & Dinah in such manner & Ocopation as my said Trustees shall think fit & Convenient untill the youngest of my said Children shall attain the full age of one & Twenty Years which said Maintanance & Education I do hereby declare my Intent & meaning is to be made them as a satisfaction & in lieu of the Sum of fifteen Pounds pr annum setled on & to be paid them the said Dinah & William as my Younger Children by the said Articles of Agreement And from & after the said Children William & Dinah shall attain his & her Respective age of one & Twenty Years that from thence & upon this further Trust & Confidence that they the said Trustees & the Survivor of them & the Heirs of such Survivours do & shall either by Sale of or leasing of the said Lands & Tenements called Grediow & Hill Parkes raise for them my said Children at their said respective ages the sum of Three Hundred Pounds each, or so much money as with the sale of my Personal Effects Estate shall be sufficient To make up that Sum My said Children Dinah & William first of all respectively Releaseing unto my son John SAMWELL and at his Expence all his & her respective Right Title Interest and Claim of in & unto the Sum of Six hundred Pounds Payable to them by the said Marriage articles of Agreement out of the said Lands of Pill & Blowhan But & if my sd son John shall pay them respectively the said sum of three hundred pounds that then my will & meaning is my said son shall have the said Lands called Grediow & Hill Parkes.
Item I give & Bequeath unto my said son John SAMWELL my Seal Gold ring
Item Lastly I doe hereby further devise that they the said John TRUEBODY John HONY & my said Dear wife whom I make Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Trust and for the several Purposes aforesaid do and shall if they shall think the same necessary sell & Dispose of my Stock Cattle Corn & Houshold Goods (my said Dear wife first makeing her Election of what she pleaseth to take & accept of) and Place the money ariseing by Sale thereof out at Interest on the best Security can be got for the same and apply the said Interest and Produce thereof for & Toward the education & maintanance of my said Younger Children William & Dinah in such manner as the Rents Issues & Profits of the said Lands of Grediow & Hill Parkes are herein before directed to be applied & laid out In Witness whereof to this my last Will & Testament being written on Two Sheets of Paper I have Set my hand & Seal To the bottom of each sheet the Twelfth day of May in the eighth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the second and in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Thirty five.
