The Will of William Beswatherick, dated 13 November 1830
 

This is the last will and testament of me William Beswatherick of Tregantle in the Parish of Lanlivery in the County of Cornwall Yeoman made this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty.
 
First I charge my executor herinafter named to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses.
 
I give and bequeath to my son William one yearly sum or rent charge of seven pounds to be paid to him out of my estate called Tregantle every year so long as my interest in the same shall continue.
 
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Nicholls one yearly sum or rent charge of one pound and ten shillings to be paid to her out of my said estate of Tregantle every year so long as my interest in the same shall continue.
 
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Parnall the sum of ten pounds
I also give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Hawkey the sum of ten pounds
I also give and bequeath to my son Philip the sum of sixty pounds
I also give and bequeath to my son John the sum of sixty pounds
I also give and bequeath to my son Thomas the sum of sixty pounds
I also give and bequeath to my grandson William son of my son William the sum of twenty pounds
 
I also give and bequeath to my son Thomas the shop and premises which he now occupies in the Parish of Mawgan for and during his natural life and from and after his decease I give the same to his eldest son who shall be living at the time of his death
 
I also give and bequeath to my son Henry all that estate called Tregantle subject to the several annuities or rent charges above mentioned for and during his natural life if my interest in the same shall so long continue; but if my said son Henry shall happen to die before my son William, then it is my will that my said estate of Tregantle shall be divided amongst all my sons who shall then be living share and share alike.
 
All the rest residue and remainder of my goods and chattels credits and effects of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever I give to my son Henry upon condition that he shall well and truly pay and discharge all my just debts together with the several legacies above bequeathed within one year next after my decease and from time to time fully pay to my son William and to my daughter Mary Nichollsall their respective annuities or rent charges as the same shall become due out of my said estate of Tregantle as above expressed and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Henry whole and sole executor of this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.
 
Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator William Beswatherick as and for his last will and Testament in presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses
