The Will of Mary Nanscawen, dated 24 August 1811

In the Name of God Amen I Mary Nanscawen Wife of William Nanscawen of the Parish of Landulph in the County of Cornwall Farmer Do by this my Writing to be purporting to be my last Will and Testament Dispose of my Estate and effects pursuant and according to the authority to me given in and by the last Will and Testament of John Wilcocks of Kingsbridge in the County of Devon Clerk made and bearing date the twenty ninth day of July one thousand eight hundred and eight and Whereas the said Jacob Wilcocks did in and by the said Will give and bequeath unto me the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds to be at my own disposal and not subject to the control of my now Husband Relation to the said Will being had more fully will appear Now I do hereby give and dispose of the same in manner and form following that is to say
I give and bequeath unto my Son William Nanscawen the first two years Interest after my decease that shall and may arise to his own proper use and benefit
I give and bequeath unto Robert Billing of the Parish of Saint Stephens in Saltash Gentleman and to the said Wiliam Nanscawen my now Husband the said sum of two hundred and fifty pounds Sterling upon Trust only and to and for the sole use and benefit of my five younger children viz Sylvester, John, Mary, Betsey and Ann equally to be divided between them when Ann the youngest shall attain the full age of Twenty one years and if either of the said five should happen to died under the age of twenty one years that their respective share shall be equally divided between the surviving four younger ones and also that the Interest from the said two hundred and fifty pounds (except the two years Interest given unto my son William) shall from time to time be equally divided between my five younger Children or the survivors of them until that my youngest Daughter Ann shall attain the full age of twenty one years
And that the expence of proving of this my Last Will and Testament shall be paid out of the two hundred and fifty pounds pounds or out of the Interest arising from the same and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint the said William Nanscawen and the said Robert Billing Executors in Trust of this my Last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I the said Mary Nanscawen have to this my last Will and Testament Set and subscribed my Hand and Seal the twenty fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven.
