(Stamped) Nine Pence Quire

Know all Men by these presents that I Thomas Pomeroy of the Parish of Antony in the County of Cornwall Husbandman am held and firmly bound unto John Baily Yeoman and Robert Coombe Yeoman, Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Landulph in the said County of Cornwall in the sum of fifty pounds of Lawfull Money of great Britain to be paid unto the said John Baily and Robert Coombe their Exectrs and Admininstrators to their lawfull Atorney for ye? which payment well and truly to be made. I bind myself my Executors Administrators and Assigns firmly by these presents Sealed with my Seal Dated the 19th Day of June 1749 In the Twenty third year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God King of Great Britain and so forth And in the year of our Lord 1749

Whereas Mary Shelton/Skelton? of the Parish of Landulph Single Woman hath Lately been delivered of a female Bastard called Grace Child which is likely to become Chargeable to the said Parish of Landulph. Now the Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bounden Thomas Pomeroy his Executrs Administrators and Assigns or any of them do or shall from Time to Time And at all Times hereafter well and Truly pay or cause to be paid unto ye above named John Baily and Robert Coombe and their Successors for the Time Being for ye said parish of Landulph the Sum of Ninepence per Week Towards the Maintainance of the said Bastard Child called Grace then this Obligation to be Void or otherwise To remain full force and Virtue
