Know all men By these presents that
I Joseph Crapp of the parish of Landulph in the County
of Cornwall yeoman Am held and Firmly Bound unto William
Nanscawen and Joseph Hodge the present Churchwardens of
the said parish of Landulph As Also unto John Peters and
Abraham Smith the present Overseers of and for the
parish Aforesaid To the penal Sum of Fifty pounds of
Lawfull Money of Great Brittain To be paid unto the said
William Nanscowen Joseph Hodge John Peters and Abraham
Smith or to either of them or to their Certain Attorney
their Executors Administrators or Assigns For which
payment with and trusty to be made I Bind myself my
heirs Executors and Administrators Firmly By These
Presents Sealed with my Seale and Dated this Eighth Day
of April in the Nineteenth year of the Reign of Our
Sovereign Lord George the Second now King of Great
Brittain and so Forth Bond in the year of Our Lord One
Thousand seven hundred Forty and Six.
The Condition of the Above Obligation is such that
Whereas Elizabeth Carhart Singlewoman hath Lately
Intended herself into the said Parish of Landulph and is
Suspected of being with Child If Therefore the said
Jospeh Crapp his heirs Executors and Administrators and
every and either of them Do and shall from time to time
and at all times hereafter fully and Clearly Acquitt
Discharge Save harmless and Indemnifyed as with the said
William Nanscawen and Joseph Hodge the present
Churchwardens of the parish of Landulph aforesaid And
the said John Peters and Abraham Smith the now Overseers
of the poor of the said parish and their Successors As
Also the Inhabitants and parishioners of the aaid parish
which now are or at any time hereafter shall be there
resident and every of them of and from All and all
manner Charges payments Taxes Expenses troubles Damages
and Demands whatsoever which shall or may at any time
hereafter in any Manner or wise Arise happen Come grow
and Accrew or be Imposed upon them or any or either of
them for or by reason or means of the said Elizabeth
Carharts Intruding herself into the said parish of
Landulph as aforesaid and residing there As Also of and
from all Costs Charges Damages and Demands That shall
Accrew be Demanded or Imposed on the said parish by
reason of Any Child or Children of which she may at any
time hereafter be Delivered within the said parish That
Then This obligation to be void and of none Effect or
else to Remain and be in full power Force and Virtue
