Will of Margaret Honey, dated 29 January 1753
In the Name of God Amen, I Margarett Honey of
Kilkhampton in the County of Cornwall Spinster do hereby make my Last
Will and Testament in Manner following (that is to say) First I Commend
my Soul into the Hand of Almighty God who gave it hoping through his
Mercy and the alone Meritt and Satisfaction of my blessed Saviour Jesus
Christ to obtain the Pardon & Remission of all my Sins and to Inherit
Everlasting Life and my Body I committ to the Earth to be decently
Interred at the Discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named and for
settling such Worldly Estate & effects as I shall die Possessed of or
Intituled to and for Preventing any Dispute or Controversy concerning
the same I Give and Dispose thereof as follows (that is to say)
All my Messuages Lands Tenements Heriditaments and Reall Estate
whatsoever situate in the Countyes of Devon and Cornwall and elsewhere I
Give and Devise unto my Dear Mother Susannah Honey her Heirs and assigns
for ever and all my Goods Chattles Leaseholds and Personal Estate
whatsoever, I do hereby also give unto my said Mother whom I do hereby
make and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I
do hereby revoke all former wills by me heretofore made. In Testimony
that is my last will and testament I have hereunto sett my Hand and Seal
the Twenty Ninth Day of January in the Twenty Sixth year of the Reign of
King George the second and In the year of our Lord One thousand seven
Hundred and fifty three.
Signed and sealed by the said Testatrix and by her Published & Declared
to be her last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who have
hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses in the Presence of the said
Testatrix & of each other
