Will of Edward Hill, dated 20 May 1746
 

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Edward Hill of Kilkhampton in the County of Cornwall, yeoman Do hereby make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following and do hereby Revoke all former and other Will and Wills by me heretofore made and I do hereby Give, Devise and Bequeath unto my mother Joan Carter of Kilkhampton aforesaid all and Singular my messuages, Tenements Rents and Hereditaments within the County of Cornwall and Elsewhere TO HOLD the same unto the said Joan Carter her Heires and assignes forever all the rest residue and Remainder of my Goods, Chattels and Estate whatsoever, not herein Before Given or Bequeathed I do hereby Give and Bequeath unto the said Joan Carter who I do hereby make and ordain solle Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness where of I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the Twentyth Day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six.

Signed and Sealed by the said Edward Hill and by him Published and declared to be his Last Will & Testament in the presence of us who Subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto in the presence of the said Testator		Edwd: Hill (signed & sealed)

The before written will of the before named Edward Hill so a true copy Examined and Compared with the Original this 4th Day of March 1747 by us

The before written Will of the before named Edward Hill desed was Proved in Comon Forme this 26th Day of Feby. 1747, and Admion of the Goods etc. of the Said desed (deceased) and of all things howsoever concerning the said Will was Granted to the Executrix therein named (being first sworne by vertue of comission) saveing etc./
