The Will of Richard Reskelly, dated 30 June 1700
 

In the name of God Amen The Thirtieth day of June Anno Domini 1700 I Richard Reskelly of the p'sh of St Keveron in the County of Cornwall, Husbandman being wiake and sick in body butt well and of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be Almighty God for itt; Do make and Ordain this to be my Last will and testament revokeing all other wills & testaments by me formerly made in manner & Form following viz:
 
Imprimis
I commit my soul into the hand’s of almighty God that gave itt hopeing through the meritorious death and Passion of Jesus Christ my saviour & Redeemer to Receive free Pardon & remission of all my sins, And my body I bequeath to a Christian Buriall att the discretion of my Executors hereafter nominated & appointed.

I give and bequeath unto my son John Reskelly and his son John five shillings apeice
 
Item
I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Reskelly and his three children five shillings apiece
 
Item
I give and bequeath all the Rest of my Good’s, Bill’s, Bonds, Rents, Chattells dues and demands whatsoever Unto Solomon Lawrence my Son in Law whom I doe fully, and absolutely constitute make, and ordaine to be the full and whole executor of this my last will and Testament with paying all my just debts and legacies and funeral charges as aforesaid In Wittnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare above said
 
Sealed signed & Acknowledged Published and declared being written on paper of the double sixpenny stamp in p’esents of us
