The Will of Alice Potter, dated 24 January 1744
In the Name of God Amen. This Twenty fourth day of
January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and forty
four. I Allice Potter of the parish of St Keverne in the County of
Cornwall widdow being sick and weak in Boddy but of sound and perfect
memory do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
following:
Item I Give up my Soul into the Hands of my faithfull Creator in full
Confidence of a Joyfull Reserection to Eternall Life by the merritts and
satisfaction of Jesus Christ my Saviour and my Boddy to a Decent Buriall
by my Executrixes herein after named.
Item I Give unto each and Every of my Grandchildren one pound sterling.
Item I Give unto my son John Five Shillings to be paid him one year
after my death.
Item I Give unto Jane Fabuy my Daughter my House and premises in
Treloyan now in possession of Ann Mildren.
Item I Give unto Avis Tregonna my Daughter after my House and premises
in Porthoustock wherein I now dwell and also my Great Pan with also the
use of all my Brewing Implements.
Item I Give also unto the said Jane and Avis my Daughters as Likewise
unto Martha the wife of Henry Cuttance and unto Ellinor the wife of
Richard Potter and unto Elizabeth the wife Daniell Champion and unto
Mary Roberts widdow these my Six Daughters all other my
Estates,houses,Goods and Chattels whatsoever and all other my effects
moveable and immoveable to them jointly in six even parts to be Divided
and to pay all my Debts and to Receive all my Creditts and do hereby
Constitute and appoint them to be Joine Executrixes of this my last Will
and Testament and also hereby make null and void all other Wills by me
foremerly made
In Witness whereof I hereunto sett my Hand and Seall the day and year
first above written

The before written Will of the before named Allice
Potter is a true copy and Examined and compared with the Original this
19 May 1748 by us

The before written Will of the before named Allice Potter was proved in
common the Fifth Day of May 1748 before the Reverend W Williams Waddon
Clerk, Master of Arts Official etc. And Admion of all and Singular the
Goods etc. of this said deced. And of all things howsoever concerning
the said Will was granted to all the Six Executrixes named in the said
Will (being first Sworne etc.) Saving etc.
