The Will of Samuel Halligey, dated 17 September 1743
In the Name of God Amen I Samuel Halligey of the
parish of St Kaverns in the County of Cornwall Marriner being of sound
and Disposeing Mind and Memory do hereby make this my last Will and
Testament First and principally I Commend my Soul into the hands of
Almighty God hopeing for Remission of all my Sins through the merritts
of Jesus Christ my Blessed Saviour and Redeemer and my Body to the Earth
or Sea as it shall please God and as for such Worldly Estate and Effects
which I shall be possessed of or ? unto at the time of my Decease I Give
and Bequeath the same as followeth that is to say unto my Dear and
Beloved Wife Elizabeth Halligey all and singular such sallary wages
ticketts Bounty Money Prize Money Short Allowance Money and all other
sum or sums of money whatsoever that do or shall hereafter be due to me
at the time of my decease And I hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint
my said dear and beloved wife to be my Sole Executrix of this my last
Will and Testament and I do give and Bequeath unto my said Executrix all
the Rest and Residue of my Estate whatsoever both real and personal
hereby revoking and makeing void all other and former Wills by me
heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament In
Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this Seventeenth
Day of September in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and
Forty Three and in the Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by
the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland King Defender of
the Faith.

By the said Samuel Halligey as and for his
Last Will and Testament in the presence of us
Who have hereunto subscribed our names
As Witnesses in the presence of the sd. Testator |

The Before written Will was proved in Common Form
the 2nd July 1747 Before us And Admion of the Goods etc of the Dec’ed
and of all things concerning the sd. Will was Granted to the Executrix
in the sd. Will Names being first Sworn by Vertue of a Com’n (and Oath
being first made etc) Saveing etc.
