The Will of Mary Courtis, dated 8 October 1746

In the Name of God Amen I Mary Courtis of the Parish of St Keverne in the County of Cornwall Widdow being sick in Body but of Sound and Perfect Mind Memory and Understanding Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in mannor and form following First I Give and Recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hopeing in and through the Merritts and Intercession of Jesus Christ my Blessed Saviour and Redeemer to have full and free pardon of all my sins and my Body to the Earth to be decently Interred according to the Discretion of my Executor hereinafternamed.
Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Brother Robert Incledon the sum of Forty Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Brother Bartholomew Incledon the sum of One Shilling of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my sister Jane Courtis the sum of Two Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my sister Susanna Bolitho the Sum of One Shilling if Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my sister Phillippa Thomas the sum of One Shilling of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Incledon the Sum of Five Pounds of Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed at the End of Twelve Months next after my Decease Also I Give and Bequeath unto my Kinsman Samuel Incledon

Son of my Brother Henry Incledon the sum of Ten Pounds of Lawfull Money of Great Brittain to be paid by my Executor hereinafternamed within Twelve Months next after my Decease Also all the Rest of my Goods and Chattells of what nature kind or sort whatsoever and all my Ready Money Money due on Bonds Notes or Accounts not herein and before Given and Bequeathed I Give and Bequeath unto my Brother Henry Incledon whom I nominate Ordain Constitute and Appoint to be Whole and Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby make Null and Void all former and Other Wills by me heretofore made Ratifying Allowing and Confirming this and only this to be my Last Will and Testament in Writing In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this Eight Day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six 1746.
