The Will of Simon Whibbe, dated 13 January 1730
 

In the Name of God Amen I Simon Whibbe of the Parish of Kenwyn in the County of Cornwall Melter finding an Alteration in my Body but Perfect and Sound both of mind and Memory Praised be God for the same do make and Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Imp.ts I Give and Bequeath my soul to God my Maker and Redeemer who gave it me and my Body to decent Christian Burial by my Executrix hereafternamed Hopeing through The Merritts of Jesus Christ Saviour and Redeemer I shall receive Pardon and Forgiveness for all my Sins again Item I Give to my Brother James Whibbe the sum of One Shilling to be paid him at the Years End after my Death Item I Give unto my Sister Elizabeth Bren One Shilling to be paid you at the Years end after my Death Lastly I do nominate and Appoint my Dear Wife Elizabeth Whibbe to be my Whole and Sole Executrix of all my Goods Chattells and Creditts in paying my Debts and Legacyes and Funeral Charges In Testimony whereof I have hereunto put my hand and Seal this Thirteenth Day of January 1730.

The before written Will was Proved in Common Form before the Rev.d M William Waddon Clerke Mr. Of Arts Official etc the 9th Febry 1746/7 And Admion of all and Singular the Goods etc of the said Deced and of all things howsoever concerning the said Will was Granted to the Executrix thereinnamed Oath being first made etc/ Saveing etc /
