A true copy of a clause in the late Revd Mr Willm
Beale’s will relating to the parish of St John
Discovered in the Parish Register, where his
burial entry is dated 19 September 1757
I give and charge for ever the high rent, that is to say six pence a
week out of Bridge Moor within the parish of St John near Millbrook to
be paid out in bread by the minister of the parish and to be given by
him to the poor of the said parish on every Sunday in the morning after
Divine service and I impower the rector of St John for the time being,
if any money should be left in arear and unpaid for this ___?, to take
what method the law directs for the recovery of the same.
