Extract from the will of Richard Trevill Esq of Plymouth 4th Nov AD 1647
 

Imprimis. I give and bequeath unto the poor people of the Parish of Rame in Cornwall where I was born two shillings weekly and every week for ever. Item.

I give and bequeath to the poor people of the Parish of Maker near Rame aforesaid two shillings weekly and every week for ever. Item. I give and bequeath unto the poor people of the Parish of St John’s near Maker aforesaid twelve pence weekly and every week for ever.

All which several sums given and bequeathed to the poor people of those three several parishes aforesaid, my will is, it shall bestowed in bread and divided every Sunday after morning prayer in the Churches belonging to the several parishes. And my will is that the money shall be paid out of my Manor of Bottleyeate to buy the said bread for ever. Item. I give and bequeath unto Jane the wife &c. &c. &c.
