St Hilary - 1831 Census

A census of the Population of the Parish of St Illarii alias St Hilary independently of the Township of Marazion taken on 30th May 1831 by Joseph Tregoning, churchwarden & William Richards & Nicholas James, overseers of the poor.

The increase within the last 10 years, probably less than might be considering most of the mines in the neighbourhood during that period remain unworked, consequently __ of some __ have been __ & sick & __ __. [The last 2 lines were mostly illegible.]

NOTES:-  The 116 males recorded in question 8 are the same as those in the last 2 parts of question 7.

Therefore the 402 males upwards of 20 years is derived from the sum of questions 7 through 13 except for question 8 and the last two parts of question 13.
