In ye Name of God Amen the fifteenth Day of September one
thousand Seven hundred and thirty eight I Jane Daddow widdow
of Trewollick in ye parish of Gorran and County of Cornwall being Sick &
weak in Body, but of perfect mind and Memory, Thanks be given unto
God: Therefore calling unto mind of Mortality of my Body, and knowing
it is appointed to all men once to die, do make and ordain this my
last will & testament: That is to Say, principally and first of all, I give
and Recommend my Soul unto the Hands of Almighty God that gave it
me, and my Body I recommend to ye Earth, to be Buried in Decent
Christian Burial, at ye Discretion of my Executor, nothing Doubting but
at ye general Resurrection I shall recieve ye Same again by the
Mighty power of God. And touching Such worldly Estate where
with it hath pleased God to Bless me in this life, I give Demise & dispose
of ye Same in ye following manner and form
Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Edward Bruton Jun' of ye parish of Marder
the Sum of ten pounds
item I give unto Mary Bruton Sister to ye above sd Edward Bruton the
Sum of twenty pounds and one of ye best feather beds in my house
item I give unto Joan Bruton Sister to Mary Bruton & Edward Bruton the
Sum of ten pounds
item I give unto Wm Oliver Senr of Goran haven the Sum of ten pounds
item I give unto Thos Oliver Son of Wm Oliver ye Sum of ten pounds
item I give unto Wm & Margaret ye other Son & daughter of Wm Oliver
the Sum of one guinea to each.
item I give unto Amy Henna widow of Robt Henna ye Sum of ten pounds
item I give unto Jone Truscot widow ye Sum of ten pounds.
item I give unto Nathaniel Jenken ye Sum of three pounds. being an old Servant
item I give unto William Ryn the Sum of three pounds
item I give unto Thomas Northern the Sum of one guinea
item I give unto John Jeffery Junr of Pennare ye Sum of one guinea
item I give unto Thomas Dabb of Probus and old Servt of mine ye Sum of one
guinea
item I give unto Thomas Henna ye Son of Robert & Amy Henna ye Sum of
one guinea
item I give unto Nathaniel & Nicholas Cock ye Sons of Philip Cock & to Francis Kelly
Junr & to Richard Pomery Sons of John Pomery ye Sum of two Shillings & Six pence
to each
item I give to ye poor of ye two parishes of Goran & Marder ye Sum of forty
Shillings to each parish & all the legacies to be paid in one year after my Decease
item I give unto my Kinswoman now living with me by name Mary Bruton all my
wearing apparrell four Silver Spoons, and a gold Ring
Lastly I make and ordain William Jenkin (now living with me) to be my whole
& Sole Executor in paying my Debts, Legacies & funeral Charges and avoiding
all other and former Wills Witness my Hand ye Day & year abovsaid 1738

Cheese Wring, bucket and tray
