The Will of Thomas Mould, dated 6 March 1745
In the name of God Amen I Thomas Mould of the
Burrough of Fowey in the County of Cornwall Gentleman being in perfect
Health And of a Sound And Disposing Mind and Memory (thanks be therefore
Given to Almighty God) And calling to Mind the Uncertainty of this
transistory life do for the preventing of All Manner of Disputes and
Controversies which may arise or happen after my Decease make this my
last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void All and every
former Wills and Testaments by me at Any Time or Times hitherto made And
first I recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God who first gave
it to me, hoping through his Mercy And the Merits And Satisfaction of my
blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to Obtain pardon and remission of all my
Sins And to inherit everlasting Life And my Body I commit to the Earth
decently to be interred After the Discretion of my Executor hereinafter
named and as for the Wordly Estate and Effects which God in His Goodness
hath been pleased to bestow on me I give devise and bequeath the same in
Manner and form following (That is to say)
I give devise and bequeath unto my Mother in law Joan Pyne one Guinea to
buy her a ring in Remembrance of me
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Sister in law Elizabeth Pyne the
sum of twelve pounds of Lawfull Mony of Great Britain
Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Sister in law Mary Pyne the sum
of twelve pounds of lawfull mony of Great Britain
Which said two last mentioned legacys or sums of twelve pounds my Will
and Meaning is And I do hereby direct and appoint to be paid to the
respective Legatees by my Executor hereinafter Named At the End of one
Year next After my Death
Also I give and devise unto my sister Ann Blachford wife of Robert
Blachford of the Parish of Tywardreath in the said County of Cornwall
Clerk the sum of one pound and one shilling to buy her a ring in
remembrance of me
Also I give and devise unto my nephew Ezekiel Mould the sum of one pound
and one shilling to be paid at any time within one year next after my
Death
Also All the Rest Residue and Remainder of All and Singular my Goods
Chattels Estates and Effects of what kind or Nature soever not herein or
hereby before given devised or disposed of I hereby give devise and
bequeath the same unto my brother John Mould and him the said John Mould
I hereby make Ordain Nominate constitute and appoint whole and sole
Executor of this my last Will and testament and I do hereby direct and
Appoint and my Will and meaning is that the said John Mould do pay and
Discharge all my Debts and funeral Charges with the convenient speed
After my Death. In Witness whereof I the said Testator Thomas Mould have
to this my last Will and Testament Sett my Hand and Seal and published
and declared the same to be my last Will and Testament the Sixth Day of
March in the Nineteenth Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George
the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King
defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of Our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Five.

The before written Will was proved the second of
October Seventeen Hundred and forty seven in common form before the Revd
Mr William Waddon Clerk Master of Arts Official etc and Administration
of the Goods etc of the sd decd And of All things howsoever concerning
the said will was granted to the Exec in the sd will named being first
sworne etc saveing etc.
No inventory exhibited.
The before written will is a true Copy Examined and compared with the
original this tenth day of Oct 1747 by us
