The Will of William Dickwood proved 11 February 1579
In the name of God Amen I William Dickwood being in
a perfect memorie doe make my Last Will and Testament in maner and forme
following I Give and Bequeath my soule to Almighty God And my bodie to
be buried in the Churche of Fowey.
Item – I give to my daughter Johan my Best Cuppe of silver and the next
Cuppe to my sonne Thomas Dickwood
Item – I doe give to my sonne Harry my part of the William and John And
all my stock that is in her
Item – I doe give to my sonne Bennett my parte of the Jesus. I give to
Robin A Cuppe of silver
Item – I give to Manell a salte of silver and six bigg spoones
Item – I give to John my part of the Peter I give to my Cosin Margery
Wade foure poundes of money I doe give to the poore of Fowey Eight
shillings And I do give to the Churche six shillings eight pence
All the rest of my goods I give to my wife whom I make my Executrix and
to deal amongst my children as she doth think good and to ?----? my
debts and to pay my debts
Item – Ede of Bodman doth owe me four pounds
Item – Dallaway of St Tawsill doth owe me Tenne Pounds
Item – John Holman doth owe me ?-----? for wynes from Burdeouse Twenty
Pounds
Mystres Trefferie doth owe me Tenne Pounds
Item – my sister Katherine Conye oweth me for vinegar fourtie shillings
more for 40 bushells of salte at Two shillings a bushel more for foure
peces of raysons
Item – the yonge Harry Colquite oweth me fourtie shillings
Item – John Ketto oweth me for one and twentie bushells of salte
Item – John Cock oweth me for seven bushells of salte
Item – John Bell oweth me for 4 bushells of salte eight shillings
Item – John Colquite of Foye for a mare twenty six shillings eight pence
more lent him in money
