The Will of Jane Motton, dated 26 November 1808
This is my last Will and Testament of me Jane Motton
of the Parish of Falmoth in the County of Cornwall Widow being in good
health and of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding thanks
be given unto God do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and
following. I will devise and direct that my just Debts funeral charges
and Expenses be paid off and discharged by Executor hereafter named as
soon after my Decease as conveniently may be.
Also I give and bequeath unto my niece Jane Dixon twenty pounds and half
of my Pew in the Church the other half to my brother-in-law also Thomas
Bult and the ole of the pew to return to him at Jane Dixon’s deth that
is to Thomas Bult I mean.
To his wife Mary Bult I give my Morning Ring.
To his daughter Jane Bult I give my Beed and Bed lie and bolster pillos
mattres wight qults and a pear of sheets for her Cindness also for
tending me when sick
I give Five pounds to the saporting the School in the Methodists Chapel
to be pead derickly after my deth
Also my will and meaning is that all the rest of my worldly Estate Goods
whatsoever that I shall be possessed or entitled unto at the time of my
decease I give and bequeath the same unto my beloved Nephew Thomas
Penrose Hocking whome I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint sole
Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament.
If I die at Falmouth my Will is that I may be lead in the Grave with my
former Husband William Bult to be berred in the Morning to be carred to
my Grave on Sholders – you can borro a cloth to cover the cofing of the
Clark.
And I do here by revoke all former Wills by me at any time here by
revoke all former Wills by me at any time hereby fore made and I do
declare this to be my Last Will and Testament.
In witness where of I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this 26
twentyeth six day of November One thousand eight hundred and eight.
