THIS INDENTURE made the 22nd day of November in the 16th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the 2nd by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of Our Lord 1742 BETWEEN Charles Trelawney of Goldrinik (2nd half of place name unclear MMc) in the County of Cornwall Esquire of the one part and John Gray of the Parish of Endellion in the County of Cornwall aforesaid yeoman of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Charles Trelawney for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings of lawful money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said John Gray at and before the Execution of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged HATH granted bargained and sold and in and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said John Gray his executors administrators and assigns ALL that one messuage and tenement containing a dwelling house garden ? moyety of all those lands ditches pieces and parcels of land meadow and pasture commonly called or known by the name of Hetherbutt situate lying and being within the aforesaid parish of Endellion and County aforesaid all which said premises as now at some time heretofore was in the several tenants occupation and possession of one George Daw Margery Daw or some or one of them their or some or one of their assigns and now of the said John Gray together with all paths ways waterways watercourses easements profits commodities advantages and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or were heretofore deemed accepted reputed or taken to be any part parcel or member of the same or any part thereof And reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents duties suits and services of the said premises mentioned and of every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said messuage or tenement lands hereditaments and assigns from the day of the date of these presents for and during the full time and term and unto the end and expiration of one whole year from hence next ensuing fully to be complete and ended YIELDING and paying theretofore unto the said John Gray his heirs and assigns One pepper corn at the feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist now next ensuing (If lawfully demanded) To the intent that by virtue hereof And by force of the Statute for Transferring uses into Possession The said John Gray may be in the actual possession of all and singular the said premises above mentioned with the appurtenances and hereby to enabled to accept and take a grant and release of the reversion and inheritance thereof to him and his heirs forever To the only proper use and behoofe of the said John Gray his heirs and assigns for ever more IN WITNESS whereof the parties aforesaid to those presents their hands and seals INTERCHANGABLY have set the day and year first above written
