The Will of Nicholas Hill, dated 5 January 1746/7

In the Name of God Amen I Nicholas Hill of the parish of Egloskerry and County of Cornwall Yeoman being of sound Mind and Memory do make and Ordain this my last Will and testament in Manner and form following.
First I Commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker and my Body to Christian Burial.
Also I give and Bequeath unto my Wife Margaret the sum of Three Pounds a year to be paid her in quarterly payments every year during her natural life by my Executor hereafter mentioned
Also I give and Bequeath unto Mary the wife of George Couch four pounds to be paid one year after my Decease. Also I give unto Grace, Mary, and William the daughters and son of George Couch a halfe Guinae each one year after my Decease.
Also I give and Bequeath unto Joan the wife of John Adams four pounds to be paid one year after my Decease. Also I give unto English, Mary, Elizabeth and John a halfe guinea each to be paid in one year after my Decease.
Last I give and Bequeath all my goods and Chattells unto my son George Hill whom I make and Ordain my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and testament as witnefs hand and seal this feeve day of January in the year of Our Lord 1746/7

The abovewritten Will was proved in Common Form the 28th April 1747 before the Rev. Wm.Waddon Clerk Master of Arts Official etc. And admion of the Goods etc. of the Deceased and of all things concerning the said Will was Granted to the Executor therein named/being first sworn etc./ saving etc.
