The Will of Patience Harris dated 5 September 1746

In the Name of God Amen I Patience Harris of the Burrough of Tregony in the County of Cornwall Widdow being Sick and Weak but of Sound & Disposeing Mind & Memory Praised be God for the same do hereby make Y Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament hereby revokeing all former Wills by me made. And first I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me hopeing through the Meritts of my Redeemer to Inheritt Eternal life and by body to the Earth to be Decently Interred at the Discretion of my Executors hereinafter named. Also I Give unto my Eldest Son William Harris the Sum of Twelve pounds to be apid to him Imediately after my Decease by my Executors hereinafter named and I also Give him the Bed furnished on which he usually lies.
 
Also I Give unto my Daughter Margaret Harris the Sum of Twelve Pounds to be paid to her Imediately after my Decease And I also Give her the Bed furnished on which she Usually Lyes, and I also give her halfe of my Wearing Apparele, Also I Give unto my Son Peter Harris the Sum of Fifteen Pounds to be paid by my Executors herein afternamed when he Attains the Age of Twenty one Years, Also I Give un to my Son and Daughter William and Margaret all that my House wherein I now live together with all other the premisses thereunto belonging which said premisses are the lands ^ of Inheritance (above) of John Derbishire Birkhead Esq.r To hold the Same unto my said Son and Daughter Imediately after my Decease for and Dureing all the Residue and Remainder of a Terme of Ninety Nine Years or some such Terme Granted by Vertue of a Lease if the lives therein named or either of them shall so long happen to live Subject Never the less and tis my Will and meaning that my siad Son Peter and my Youngest Daughter Ann Harris shall live in and Cohabit in the said House If they or either of them shall dureing the residue of the said Terme think Proper, Also I Give unto my said Four Children William Margaret Peter and Ann, all my Pewter to be Equally Divided between them share and Share alike. Lastly all the best of my Rights and Creditts, Goods Chattells and Personale Estate I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my said Daughter Margaret Harris and William Hennah of the said Burrough Carpenter whom I make and Ordain whole and Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament In Trust Never the less and to and for the Only use of my said Daughter Ann Harris, and to and for no Other Uses Intent or Purpose whatsoever, and my further Will is that in case the said Ann shall happen to Dye before she Attain the Age of Twenty one Years or the said William Margaret and Peter or either of them shall happen to dye before his or their Respective SLegasyes by me herein Given shall become due and payable That then and in such Case the same shall be Equally divided amongst the Survivors of them share and share alike. In Witness Whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament Set my hand and Seal this Fifth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Six. The Sign of

And Admion of the Goods et. of the Decd and of all things howsoever concerning her said will, was Granted to the Executive In Trust in thes.d Will Named being first Sworne et. Saveing et.
The before written Will is a True Coppy of the last Will and Testament of the beforenamed Patience Harris Examined and Compared with the Original this 27th __ Day of January__ 1746 By us.
