Will of Grace Hoblyn, dated 18 September 1693

Grace Hoblyn
In the Name of God Amen I Grace Hoblyn of
Nanswhiddon in the County of Cornwall widdow being sick of body but of
pfect
minde and memory praised be God I do make and ordaine this my last will
and
testamt in manner following First I comend my soul in the hands of God
Allmighty
trusting for Salvation in and through the meritts and mediation of my
blessed Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ and my body to decent and Christian burial.
Item I give and bequeath unto my sonnes Francis Hoblyn
and William Hoblyn
the sume of thirty pounds a peice to each of them. Item I give unto my
daughters Grace Penderves and Mary Cock
the summ of twenty pounds a peice
to each of them. Item I give unto my sonnes Thomas Hoblyn
and Carew
Hoblyn the summ of ten pounds to each of them.
Item I give unto all
my Grandchildren the summ of twenty shillings to each of them. All the
rest
of my goods and chattles I give divise and bequeath unto my son
Robert
Hoblyn Clerke whom I make the whole and sole
executor of this my last will and
testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made In Witness whereof
I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of September

The above written is a true copy of the last will and testament of the
above
named Grace Hoblyn late of Nanswhidden widdow dowr
which was
exhibited in the Archdeaconary Court of Cornwall by Robert
Hoblyn
Clerke the Executor named therein and was proved in the Archdeaconry
Courte in Common forme, on the three and twentieth day of November
in the year of the Lord God one thousand six hundred ninety and six
compared and examined by and with the originalle will of the sd dowager
by us whose names are underwritten; which said originalle will
was on this nineteenth day of June in the year of the
Lord one thousand seven hundred and three was at the request and decise
of the sd Robert Hoblyn, and upon his allegation that
the testatrix had
at the time of her death Bona Notabilia out of the said Archdeaconry
of Cornwall and Dio……… of ….…deliverable into the hands & possession
of the sd Mr Robert Hoblyn in order he be proved in the
perogative
Court of Canterbury.

the originalle was delivered over by Mr Robert Hoblyn
in
presence of John Antis Notary public & Register of the Archdeaconry
Court
