Will of Henry Brenton, dated 24 September 1880
I Henry Brenton of Cristoe in the parish of Saint
Columb Major in the county of Cornwall Farmer do declare this to be my
last Will I direct that my Debts may be paid as may be after my decease
All my real and personal Estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever
and of what nature a tenure Soever I give devise and bequeath unto my
wife Sophia Brenton and my son Francis Brenton their Heirs Executors
Administrators and assigns respectively in equal Shares and proportions
as tenants in common and not as joint tenants and I appoint my said wife
and son Executors of this my said Will In Witness whereof I the said
Henry Brenton the Testator have to this my last Will Set my hand this
twenty fourth day of September one thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty

Signed by the Testator in the joint presence of us who thereupon Signed
and
named in his and each other presence as witnesses.

In Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice
BE IT KNOWN, that the date hereunder written, the last Will and
Testaments --------------------(a Copy whereof is
hereunto annexed)
of Henry Brenton, late of the parish of Saint Columb Major in the County
of Cornwall Farmer deceased who died on the 29th day of September 1880,
at Saint Columb Major aforesaid
and
who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Saint Columb
Major aforesaid within the District
of the County of Cornwall
was proved and registered in the District registry attached to the
Probate Division
of Her Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Bodmin and that Administration
of the personal estate of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid
Court to Sophia Brenton, Widow, the Relict and Francis Brenton the Son
the Executors
named in the said Will they having been first sworn well and
faithfully to administer the same.
