KNOW all men by these presents that we WILLIAM NORTHY and WILLIAM NORTHY the Younger both of the Borough of Bodmyn in the County of Cornwall Tanners, are held and firmly bound unto WILLIAM DUNGEY and WILLIAM HEARLE Overseers of the Poor of the parish of Saint Clements in the said County Yeomen in the sume of One Hundred Pounds of Lawfull money of great Britain to be paid to the said WILLIAM DUNGEY and WILLIAM HEARLE their Executors Adminiors. Successors or Assigns to which payment by us to be well and truly made we bind ourselves and either of us by himself for the whole - our heirs Executors and Adminors. and every and either of them Jointly and Severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with our Seals and Dated this third Day of October in fifteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty one

Whereas ELIZABETH TRENGROWSE Widow hath sworne before JOHN THOMAS Esquire one of his Majesty’s Justices of the Peace of & for the County aforesaid that the above Bounden WILLIAM NORTHY the Younger is the father of the male Bastard Child she hath lately been Delivered of which is likely to become Chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Clements

NOW the Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above Bound WILLIAM NORTHY and WILLIAM NORTHY the Younger or any or either of them their or any or either of their Heirs Executors or Adminiors. Do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter fully and clearly acquitt free and Discharge or well and Sufficiently save and keep Harmless and Indempnifyed the above named WILLIAM DUNGEY and WILLIAM HEARLE Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Clements and their successors for the time being and every of them and all the Inhabitants and Parishioners of the said Parish of Saint Clements aforesaid which now are or hereafter shall be for the Time being and every of them of and from all manner of Expences Damages Costs and Charges whatsoever which shall or may at any Time hereafter arise happen grow or be Imposed upon them or any or either of them for or by reason or means of the Maintenance Education or Bringing up of such male Bastard Child and of and from all other Suits Troubles Charges Damages and Demands whatsoever touching or concerning the Same That then this Obligation is to be void Otherwise to remain in full force and virtue
