(Rough translation - Let everyone know by this presentation before the Burgesses of Truro in the county of Cornwall Johan Spry from ?, that Thomas Shear and John White are bound under an obligation to manage the paupers of the parish of St Clement in this county, reflecting on the good book and the pride in the laws of Great Britain.
Thomas Shear and Johan White, managers of the paupers of the parish of St Clemens and and there to provide that certain relief to the good and faithful, bound under this obligation.......
This is sworn by oath to be a lasting distribution, signed and sealed on the seventh of January in the year of our King George II, by the Grace of God King of Great Britain, in the first year of our Lord 1727.

The Condition of this obligation is such that Whereas MARY RUNDLE of the said parish of St. Clements Singlewoman hath been lately delivered of a Female Bastard Child within the said parish of St. Clements If therefore the above bounden NICHOLAS CROWS and JOHN SPRY or either of them their or either of their Heires Executors or administrators or any of them doe and shall from time to time and att all times hereafter fully and clearly acquitt discharge and save harmless as well the above named THOMAS SHEAR and JOHN WHITE overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Clements aforesaid and their Successors (for the time being) and every of them, as also the Inhabitants and parishioners of the said parish which now are or hereafter shall be (for the time being) and every of them, of and from all Costs charges troubles and Incumbrances whatsoever for or by reason of the birth maintenance nourishment and bringing up the said Child and of and from all other suits charges troubles and demands whatsoever touching or concerning the Same then this obligation to be void otherwise to Stand remain and be in full force and vertue
