Know all men by these presents That We GABRIEL QUICK and THOMAS DINGLE of the Parish of Kenwyn in the County of Cornwall Tinners? are held and firmly ?--- and bound unto THOMAS SHEAR and JOHN VERCOE Church Wardens of the Parish of Saint Clements in the said County and FERDINANDO PASCOE and PETER KNIGHT Overseers of the poor of the said parish and their Successors for the time being their Executors and Adminrs. and Assigns in the full Sum of Forty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain for the payment of which and in performance of the within ?------- we hereby firmly bind ourselves our Executors and Administrators in the sum of Eighty Pounds of Lawfull money for the payment of the above sum of Forty Pounds unto the above named Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said parish of St. Clements and their Successors for the time being in case default be made in the under written Condition. In Witness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands and seals the Thirteenth day of May in Thirty first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord 1758.

The Condition of this obligation is such That if the above Bounden GABRIEL QUICK and THOMAS DINGLE their Exors. & Adminrs. do and shall provide for the Bastard Child or Children (when born) wherewith MARY HEAD of the said parish of St. Clements is now pregnant so that the said Child or Children be not any way Chargeable to the said parish or parishioners thereof and will in all things indemnifye the said parish against all Incumbrances that may happen to the said parish or parishioners thereof on account of the said Child or Children Then this Obligation to be void Otherwise to stand remain and be in full force and virtue.
