WILLIAM DAVIES and RICHARD JENNINGS, the boundens and
WILLIAM HOUDY and NICHOLAS BRUTON - Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of St. Clements.
Then follows, typed with original spelling:
The Condition of this present obligation is such that
Whereas JANE HARRIS of the said Parish of St. Clements
Single woman hath been lately delivered of a male
Bastard Child within the said parish of St. Clements If
therefore the above bounden WILLIAM DAVIES and RICHARD
JENNINGS or either of them do and shall from time to
time and at all times hereafter fully and clearly
acquitt discharge and save harmless as well the above
named WILLIAM HOUDY and NICHOLAS BRUTON Overseers of the
poor of the parish of St. Clements aforesaid and their
Successors (for the time being) and every of them as
also the Inhabitants and parishioners of the said parish
which now are or hereafter shall be (for the time being)
and every of them of and from all costs charges troubles
and incumbrances whatsoever for or by reason of the
birth maintenance nourishment or bringing up of the said
Child and of and from all other Suites charges troubles
and demands whatsoever touching or concerning the same
then this present obligation to be void otherwise to
stand remain & be in full force & Vertue
