Will of Mary Lavers dated 8 July 1746

In the Name of God Amen I Mary Lavers of the Parish of Calstock in the County of Cornwall Spinster do make and ordain this to be my last Will & Testament in manner and forme following. First of all I Give and Bequeath unto Thomas Hill my Brother in Law Ten Shillings. Also I Give to Mary the wife of George Warren Two Shillings and to Mary Martyn Two Shillings and Sixpence To Mary Warren Spinster Two Shills. & Sixpence To Willm. Berriball Two Shillings and Sixpence being my Godson To Nicholas Clark also my Godson my Common Prayer Book with the New Testament in it I Give also to my dear sister Grace the Wife of Charles Sheer all the rest and Residue of what my Lands, Tenemts. And Chattells shall Produce after they are sold & surveyd. When my Debts and the above Legacyes together with the Expences of my Funerall and Soforth are Discharged and Satisfied Requesting her to Give her son my nephew Charles Ten Shill and my Bible out of the said Residue and Remainder And I do nominate Constititute and Appoint Nicholas Grose of the Parish of Calstock my Chief Creditor Executor of this my last Will and Testament first to Satisfye and pay the debts due to himselfe and for my Funeral which I leave to him to do and Performe in a decent manner and then discharge the above Legacyes In Witness whereof I have sett my hand and seal this Eighth Day of July 1746

The Beforewritten Will was proved in Common Form the 6th Feby. 1746 Before the Revd, Mr. Wm. Waddon Clark Mr. of Arts Official etc. Admion of the Goods etc. of the Decd? And od all things howsoever concerning her said Will was Granted to the Executor therein named / Oath being first made etc. / Saveing etc.
