Will of William Doble, dated 26 December 1745

In the Name of God Amen I William Doble of the Parish of Calstock in the County of Cornwall Husbandman being sick and weak in Body but of perfect and Sound mind and memory Thanks be to God for it and Calling to mind the uncertainty of this Transitory Life do make ordain and declare this my last Will and Testament That is to say I Commit my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker who Gave it me hopeing to receive an Inheritance in Heaven Incorruptible and my Body I Commend to Christian Burial when it shall Please God to take my soul from it,
Imprimis I Give to my Brother John Doble one shilling.
Item I Give to my sister Catherine Body one shilling.
Item I Give to my sister Mary Gumb one shilling.
These Legacies to be paid in Six Months after my Decease.
Item I Give to Granddaughter Mary Moon two Shillings to be paid when she shall come to the age of Twenty one years. If the said Mary Moon should dye before she come to the age of Twenty one years then the Above Legacie shall redound to my two Daughters Jane Moon and Bridgett Doble equally Divided.
Item All the rest of my Goods and Chattels which are not herein formerly Mentioned Given nor Bequeathed and disposed of I Give unto Mary Doble my wife to hold to her and here heires forever and I do make the said Mary Doble my whole and Sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament further I do ordain my wife Mary Doble to enjoy all the profits of my houses orchards and all other proffits whatsover so long as she shall Live and after her decease to Redown to my two Daughters Jane Moon and Bridgett Doble equally Divided further I do Bind all my Lands to pay my Debts.
In Witness where of I have hereto sett my Hand and Seal this Twenty Sixth day of December in the year of Our Lord 1745

The within written will of the within named William Doble was Proved in Common formthe 25th. of August 1749 Before the Revd. William Waddon Clk. Master of Arts Official etc. and admion of the Goods etc. of the sd. deced and of all things howsoever Concerning the sd. will was Granted to nthe Executrix therein Named (being first sworn etc.) Oath being first made etc. Saveing etc.
Sum Total of the Inventy. Exhibited £8 13s 6d
