Return to Calstock Parish Page Will of Jane Daly dated 20 July 1746In the Name of God Amen I Jane Daly of the Parish of Calstock in the County of Cornwall Spinster being of a perfect and sound mind and memory Thanks be to God for it doe make ordain and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First I do Resigne up my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker who Gave it me Trusting in Jesus Christ my Saviour & Redeemer to be made pertaker of an Inheritance Incorruptable with him in Glory and my Body I Commend to Decent Christian Buryall whensoever it shall Please God to Call my Soul out of itt and as for those Temporall Goods & Lands which the Lord hath been pleased to Bestow one me I order, Give, Devise, Bequeath and Dispose as is hereinafter mentioned and derected. Imps. I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my Kinswoman Bridiate Daly and to her heires and assignes my Dwelling House and Herb Garden with the Appertenances being the Premisses that Robert Colling now Standeth Tennent for according to the Custom of the Mannor of Calstock. Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Kindsman John Daly Twenty Shillings Brittish money and two feather Pillows and three Peauter dishishis. Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Kindswoman Mary Daly Twenty Shillings in Brittish Money and one Bedsteed and one feather Boalster and three Peauter disheses. Item I Give and Bequeath unto Thomas Collings two Children two Peauter Disheses Item all the rest of my Goods and Chattles that is not herein formaly Given nor Bequeathed I do Give and Bequeath unto the abovesaid Bridiate Daly and Lastly I do make Constitute and appoint the said Bridiate Daly to be ?--- and sole Executtrix of this my Last Will and Testament upon Condition that she pay al my Legazeys and Debts within six months time after my Deceas - In Witness whereof to this my Last Will and Testament I have Set my Hand and Seal the Twentyeth day of July in the Twentyeth year of the Reigne of our Sovereign Lord George the Second of Great Brittain, France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord God 1746
The beforewritten Will of the abovenamed Jane Daly
deded. was Proved in Common Forme the 28th April 1748 Before the
Reverend Mr. William Waddon Clk, Mr. of Arts Official etc. and Admion of
the Goods etc. of the Said Deced. and of all things howsoever Concerning
the Said Will was Granted to the Executrix therein named (being first
Sworne etc. and Oath being first made etc.(Saveing etc.) N.B. Words in both italics and brackets
