Will of Thomas Permewan, proved 28 May 1835

Deanery of St. Burian
28 May 1835.
The last Will and Testament of Thomas Permewan late of the Parish of St.Burian Gentm. Deceased proved in Common form before the Revd. Richard Tyacke Clerk Surrogate.
And administration to the Goods of the said Deceased and of all things whatsoever concerning his said Will was granted to James Permewan the Executor therein named.

In the Name of God Amen.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Permewan, of the Parish of Saint Buryan, in the County of Cornwall, Gentleman, made when of sound mind memory and an understanding, Praised be God for the same.
 
First - I order and direct that all my just Debts and Funeral and Testamentary Expences be paid and discharged by my executor hereinafter named out of my Estate as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
 
Also. I Give and Bequeath unto my housekeeper Mary Kessell provided she be living in my service at the time of my decease, the sum of Fifty Pounds Sterling and the further sum of Five Pounds to purchase Mournings to be respectively paid to her free and clear of Legacy Duty and all other deductions by my Executor hereinafter named out of my Estate and Effects immediately after my decease.
 
Lastly. All my Freehold and Leasehold Messuages Farms Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premises whatsoever and wheresoever whether in possession or reversion, with their rights members and appurtenances, and all my Monies Mortgages in fee and for lives or years and the Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premises therein comprised and all my estate and interest therein and all my Farming Stock and Husbandry Implements Household Goods and Furniture and all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal which shall belong to me at my decease or over which I shall have a disposing power - subject nevertheless to and charged and chargeable with the payment of my said

Debts, Funeral and Testamentary Expenses and the said Legacies I Give, Devise and Bequeath the same, and every part thereof, unto and to the use of my Brother James Permewan his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns respectively absolutely and for ever. And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother James Permewan the whole and sole Executor Residuary Legatee and Devisee of this my Will, hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declaring this only to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Permewan have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this Fifteenth day of February one thousand eight hundred and Thirtyfive. 1835.
