Deanery of St. Buryan
27 August 1845.
The last Will and Testament of William Nicholas late of the Parish of
St. Buryan yeoman deceased proved in common form before the Revd.
Charles Jenkyns Clerk surrogate and administration of the Goods &c of
the Deceased and of all things concerning his said Will was granted to
William Matthews a Nephew of the sole Executor in his said Will named.

This is the last Will and Testament of William Nicholas, of the Parish
of St. Buryan in the County of Cornwall.
I give and bequeath my two dwelling Houses situate at Trevern in the
parish of Sancreed, in the County aforesaid, as follows. That is to say,
the House situate most Westerly with its appurtenances I give and
bequeath to my brother James Nicholas. And the House situate most
Easterly with its appurtenances I give and bequeath to my Nephew William
Nicholas. I give and bequeath to my brother-in-law James Matthews the
sum of Five Pounds, also to three of his Sons, and to three of his
daughters, viz, to Thomas, James, John, Elizabeth, Mary-Ann, and Jane, I
give and bequeath the sum of Five Pounds each, that is to say, to Thomas
I give Five Pounds, to James, I give Five Pounds, to John, I give Five
Pounds, to Elizabeth I give Five Pounds, to Mary-Ann I give Five Pounds,
and to Jane I give Five Pounds. I give and bequeath to my Sister Sally
Hocken the sum of Five Pounds, I give and bequeath to Mary-Ann daughter
of William Matthews, my Clock.

I also give and bequeath to William, son of the aforesaid William
Matthews my Watch.
I also order that the whole of the aforesaid Legacies be paid at the
expiration of Twelve Months after my decease.
As to the residue of my Estate whatsoever, and wheresoever, and of what
kind soever, I give and bequeath the same to my Nephew William Matthews,
to whom I constitute and appoint the Sole Executor of this my last Will
and Testament.
In witness whereof, I, the said William Nicholas, the Testator, have to
this my last Will and Testament, set my had and Seal this sixth day of
May, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty
three.

William Nicholas, the Testator, as his last Will and Testament, in the
presence of us, who, in his presence, and in the presence of each other,
have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
