The Last Will & Testament of Sampson Hutchens late of St Burian Yeoman decsd. proved in common form before the Revd. Uriah Tonkin Surrogate
And adion of the Goods etc. of the said decsd & of all things whatsoever concerning his sd. Will was granted to Joan Hutchens the Widow of the said decsd, & also Executrix named in the said Will.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Sampson Hutchens of the parish of St Buryan in Penwith in the County of Cornwall.
 
I Give devise and bequeath unto my Brother William Hutchens all that part of the Tenement of Westmoor during my tenure therein also all my farming Stock, Husbandry Implements and Cattle, after the decease of my dearly beloved Wife Joan Hutchens; but if my aforesaid Brother William Hutchens should not survive my aforesaid Wife Joan Hutchens, Then I Give Devise and bequeath unto my aforesaid Brother William Hutchens’s Son John Hutchens all the aforesaid part of the Tenement of Westmoor during my tenure therein also all my aforesaid farming Stock, Husbandry Implements and Cattle after the decease of my aforesaid Wife Joan Hutchens.
 
Also I Give devise and bequeath unto my Brother Benjamin Hutchens his two Sons and Daughter the sum of one shilling each of lawful money to be paid them as soon after my decease as convienient. That is to say I give to my Brother Benjamin Hutchens, my Brother Benjamin Hutchens’ Sons Benjamin and Sampson Hutchens and Honour Angwin the sum of one shilling each.
 
Also I Give devise and bequeath unto my Brother Henry Hutchens’s two sons and three
daughters, Henry and John Hutchenss and Mary and Elizabeth Hutchenss and Honnor Uren the sum of one shilling each of lawful English money to be paid as soon after my decease as convienient.
 
Also I Give devise and bequeath unto my Natural Daughter Elizabeth Olds the Sum of Fifty Pounds of Lawful English money to be paid her on her attaining the age of twenty one years.
 
All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Estates Goods, Chattles, and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever, and of What nature or kindsoever as well Real as Personal not herein before by me given and Disposed off I hereby Give Devise and bequeath unto my said Dearly beloved Wife Joan Hutchens whom I appoint and make whole and sole executrix of this my will.
 
And I do nominate make and appoint William Jelbart of Boskenna to be Executor in Trust to and for the only use benefit and advantage of my said Wife Joan Hutchens. I do likewise impower my said Executor in trust William Jelbart of Boskenna to deduct and retain all such Costs charges and expenses he may be at from time to time in the execution of the trust in him reposed and I hereby revoke all former and other Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made, and Declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness Whereof I the said Sampson Hutchens the Testator have to this my last Will Set my name and affixed my Seal this the twelfth day of April One thousand eight hundred and twenty three.
